The origin of Ferucom
Ferucom was founded in response to the need for accessible parts for the fresh produce sector. The knowledge and experience that Lubbert Tilma (founder of Ferucom) gained in arable farming has now been passed on to his son Pier Tilma. The sectors have also expanded, and now machine manufacturers and dealers can also turn to Ferucom. Lubbert, originally an arable farmer himself, started in 1995 by selling axial rollers to his fellow farmers.
He noticed that some parts for his machines were difficult to obtain or very expensive. By purchasing the parts himself, they were much more cost-effective in terms of price and delivery time. However, they were of the same high quality as those from the manufacturer. As a result, more and more fellow farmers approached Lubbert for parts. This is how Ferucom came into being. As Lubbert himself puts it: “a grown hobby”.
